Overview
Play INC launched a beta of SPORTHERO app during World Cup 2014 to test the idea and collect users feedbacks. My role in the project was to help in the design of a MVP focusing on the English Premier League with the goal of validate the business model.
Navigation
Based on users feedbacks we focused on the accessibility of the predictions screen removing unnecessary features to keep the MVP simple and easy to use.
Predictions
In the beginning rough sketches were created to get quick users feedbacks. We knew that sophisticated interactions would add unwanted friction so we opted for a simple solution.
Engagement
Basic game mechanics were introduced intending to transform users into players. The social appeal of betting groups and the individual progression of each player served as tools to engage and bring users into the app.
Under the hood
In 2014 I used Adobe Illustrator on the design of wireframes and UI, but recently I decided to convert many of my old projects to Sketch. Interactive prototypes were created with Invision and the UI animations were made with After Effects.
